St. Vital residents gather on the corner of St. Mary's Road & Carriere Avenue in 1913 to welcome the first street car through the Welcome Arch, built especially for the occasion.
The single track ended at Kingston Row. In July, 2009, flower pots occupy the area where the tracks once ran and cars use the paved four-lanes of St. Mary's Road.
