The Museum was officially opened on Saturday, May 24th, 2008 when the ribbon was cut by Councillor Gord Steeves, MLA Nancy Allan, SVHS past-president Neil Webb and Tom McGouran from 92CITI-FM.

Grand Opening

About 150 people were on hand May 24th, 2008, to officially open the St. Vital Museum. Operated by the St. Vital Historical Society, the museum occupies the south bay of the historic firehall, the former magistrate's courtroom and offices once used by the St. Vital Police Department.

Pancake Breakfast

Annual Pancake Breakfast | Sunday, May 28, 2011 | 9:30am - 12:00 noon

Join us for our annual pancake breakfast on Saturday, May 28th, from 9:30am to 12:00 noon, hosted by Smitty's! Picnic tables will be set up in the parking lot behind the museum, overlooking the scenic Red River. In the event of rain, the breakfast will be held in our bay behind door Number One, in front of Fire Truck No. 1.
Pancake Breakfast ticket prices: Adults: $5.00 / Children 12 & under: $3.00

Annual General Meeting | Saturday, November 6, 2010 | 1:00pm

This year's AGM will take place at the museum on Saturday, November 6th at 1:00pm. All members in good standing are invited to attend and come out and vote.
Anyone wishing to stand for election for one of the six seats on the board of directors should have their name in by the end of October so ballots can be printed. Nominations will be accepted from the floor.
Coffee, tea and light refreshments will be served in the board before and after formal proceedings. Visit us on Facebook.
